In Moscow, 15 million rubles were stolen from a financier when buying bitcoin

A financier in Moscow lost almost 15 million rubles during a deal to buy bitcoin. TASS writes about this with reference to a source in law enforcement agencies.

According to the police, they were approached by an investment citizen born in 1987. “He said that the day before he agreed to buy bitcoins, during the transaction more than 14.7 million rubles were stolen from him,” the source said.

According to the victim’s own words, an acquaintance helped him find people who wanted to sell bitcoins. To conclude the deal, a business center was chosen, where the man arrived with his wife and baby.

“Several people came to the negotiation room for the deal and showed the victim the presence of bitcoins on the laptop screen. The man laid out the money, but when he heard his child crying in the corridor, he went out, returning he did not find any potential partners or money, “adds TASS.

On the fact of the incident, a criminal case was initiated under Part 4 of Art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Theft”). One of the suspects has already been detained and confessed to the crime. The search for his accomplices continues.
