RUNE

Hi all,

So I got my Ledger Nano X today and have started to transfer all my crypto assets onto my ledger. One asset in particular I am really confused about at the moment is RUNE. I understand RUNE exists in three blockchains right now – ETH, BEP2 & THORChain.

So currently my RUNE that I own is from the Binance Exchange which is BEP2, I transferred it to FTX thinking they would have a ERC20 version to withdraw but unfortunately there isn’t. So finally, I transferred my RUNE to Binance Smart Chain Wallet extension, but I’m still trying to figure out how to transfer RUNE to my ledger as Ledger Live supports THORChain RUNE and RUNE ERC20 versions.

I saw some ways of bridging BEP2 RUNE to ETH but the website ([runebridge.org](https://runebridge.org)) is offline and I can’t find any other websites to help.

Any help would be appreciated 🙂

You need to understand that your cryptos are not in your ledger. They are on the blockchains, on the Internet.

The only thing in your ledger is your seed (24 words + optional passphrase), i.e. your master private key that gives you full control of all the accounts derived from this seed.

If your Binance Smart Chain Wallet extension is connected to your ledger device, then your RUNE is protected by your ledger, since it is in an account that is derived from your ledger seed.
